WLBT-TV later reported that Marlon Willis was captured Monday morning in Silver City, Miss. Still later, Marcus Green was captured in Yazoo County and Deliuwon Stowers was arrested in Yazoo City, leaving only Glen Bassett at large.
On March 27, the Yazoo County sheriff’s office announced that four correctional officers had been arrested in connection with the escapes from the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility.
Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy McCoy did not release the names of the officers allegedly involved, saying the case was still under investigation, but said they include three men and one woman, none of whom are now employed by the county and all of whom are in custody at another unnamed facility.
McCoy told WLBT-TV that investigators determined correctional officers were involved after questioning “several individuals” and looking at video surveillance.
“Our investigators did some really good investigating on them... enough to produce some charges,” he said.
